Our Story
The Growing Tree Nursery School has been family-owned and operated since 1979. Founded by Mrs. Joanne Miller, the school has grown from a single class of 25 children to enrolling 150 children, serving babies 3 months through pre-kindergarten. Today, her daughter, Dawn Friedman, is Owner/Director, continuing the warm, nurturing tradition of The Growing Tree—and she is now joined by her own grandchildren as current students, making it truly a family legacy.
Our Mision
The Growing Tree is a non-sectarian nursery school that supports both children and families. We help children discover themselves, build confidence, and develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment.
Our Faculty
Our faculty is made up of caring professionals who understand the needs of each child. All head teachers hold New York State certification in Early Childhood Education and many have specialties in art, music, foreign language, or technology.
